    The best time to visit Brussels is from May to October. Weekends and holidays have the best entertaining events. The weather can be unpredictable but the temperatures are mostly mild. Shops are closed on Sunday’s: this will be your best moment to stroll around the old city or to enjoy the beautiful parks.

Businesses are also closed on Easter Monday, Labor Day (May 1), the Ascension (May), Pentecost (June), the Assumption (August), All Saints Day (early November), Armistice Day (November 11), Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If a holiday falls on a weekend, offices close the preceding Friday or following Monday.

Transportation in Brussels

    Brussels is served by Brussels National Airport located in Zaventem, and by the Brussels South Airport, located some 80km from Brussels. Brussels' major train stations link the city to major European cities by high speed rail links (such as the Thalys.

    The Brussels metro (Subway) and a comprehensive bus and tram network also covers the city.
